This year, the Claremont Folk Festival returns to the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont for a full day of events. There will be two stages featuring live music as well as workshops, kid’s activities, Garden tours, art vendors, craft booths, butterfly pavilion, and gourmet food and libations.

A Taste of Claremont Coming on April 25, 2015
The Sixteenth Annual Taste of Claremont sponsored by the Claremont Rotary Foundation is scheduled for April 25, 2015. The prior year’s event, attended by over 800 participants, raised $50,000 for the Foundation which directly benefits charitable organizations in our community.
The Foundation expects the 2015 Taste of Claremont will surpass last year, and they are continually amazed and appreciative of the overwhelming support of businesses and community members. The event will have food, wine and beer provided by over 50 local merchants and will feature live music and dancing, a raffle and an art exhibition.

Dr. Peg Lamphier is an author and Professor at Cal Poly Pomona. Peg attended Arizona State University and the Claremont Graduate School. Peg is currently under contract with Blackwell-Wiley as co-author for a Civil War and Reconstruction text book and is an editor of a four volume Encyclopedia of American Women with ABC-Clio.

Claremont Hosts 33rd Annual Arts and Crafts Faire
The Claremont Chamber of Commerce presents their 33rd Village Venture Arts and Crafts Faire on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. sponsored by Claremont Toyota and Claremont Volkswagen.
With an estimated 15,000 people in attendance each year, the streets of the Claremont Village will be filled with 450+ booths selling unique art, original crafts, apparel, business and organization information, international food and entertainment.
Festivities will include a children’s pre-carved pumpkin competition sponsored
by Claremont Sunrise Rotary. Pre-carved pumpkins should be dropped off between 8:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. at Shelton Park located at the corner of Harvard Ave. and Bonita Ave. Judging will take place at 2 p.m.
A traditional children’s Halloween costume parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. All participants must assemble at the corner of Harvard Ave. and Bonita Ave. by 9:15 a.m. (No motorized vehicles will be allowed in the parade.) All participants will receive a goodie bag at the end of the parade, sponsored by Moultrie Academy of Music Voice and Dance.
No need to worry about parking. A complementary off-site shuttle service will be provided by Pomona Valley Transit Authority. Casting Call – Inviting Claremont Residents and Visitors to Participate in Tourism Video “Grand Finale” on July 18
WHAT: Claremont’s tourism board, Discover Claremont, is filming a promotional video in the streets of Claremont Village this Friday night. The video will promote many of Claremont’s amenities, including its hotels, restaurants and boutiques.
WHO: Claremont residents and visitors are encouraged to join with the Claremont High School Marching Band to participate as extras for the video’s “grand finale” scene in the Claremont Village. Please wear solid-colored tops (no patterns) without logos.
WHERE: Meet at the corner of Yale and Bonita Avenues.
