ABOUT THE RESTAURANT

Looking for a great steak dinner and some fantastic craft cocktails? The Meat Cellar is the place to be. This Claremont, California spot is Chef Anthony and Sara Villegas’ first culinary breakthrough.  It’s easy to see why – the Home of the Tomahawk serves up some of the world’s finest meat and seafood.

The Meat Cellar is a rustic-industrial stop offering steaks, chops and veggies. They’re also known for their delicious craft cocktails, beer and wine. You’ll even be able to grab some to-go items for the home. Be sure to check out their selection of meats from the butcher counter and their amazing selection of wines.

The atmosphere is welcoming – beautiful wooden decor and a fully stocked bar. A casual yet upscale vibe makes it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal without needing to dress up. Everyone should feel as comfortable as they are at home, but please feel free to get fancy if the occasion calls. The restaurant becomes intimate and romantic around 8 pm making it the perfect date night place and a Claremont favorite.

Menu Favorites

Shared plated include Roasted Bone Marrow, Jumbo Prawns and an Oyster Bar. Local salad favorites are the Beet and Goat salad or the Steakhouse Wedge. Delicious entrees include a Surf and Turf, A Fancy Burger and Chilean Seabass. Of course, you can’t go wrong with a Prime Tomahawk or Wagyu Ribeye for dinner. Don’t forget to order your sides; we love the Bacon Brussels and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The Cocktail Menu and Wine Lists are memorable as well. Coming for the food or the drinks (or both)? You won’t be disappointed by what the Meat Cellar offers locals and visitors alike.
