Hidden gem alert! This unassuming coffee shop—just off the main drag in Claremont Village—is home to some of the best drinks around. Iron & Kin was born out of a love for all things coffee shop – the fresh ground coffee aroma, the hissing of the steam wand, and the carefully curated space. Of course, let’s not forget the conversations that can turn perfect strangers into friends or friends into family – kin. It’s those small moments that make the big moments great. So take a deep breath, sip slowly, and savor kinship – Iron & Kin will take care of the rest.

What makes Iron & Kin such a hidden gem is the fact that if you know, you know. Located in the historic Packing House, they have some of the best coffee in the Inland Empire. This minimalistic cafe has a modest amount of seating, but don’t let that deter you. There is such incredible chi everywhere. With hanging plants and eclectic music playing, you’ll want to make this “feel-good” coffee shop part of your morning ritual.  Locals can often be found having a study session or using the Wi-Fi as they savor the most unique coffees, teas and vibes. Your baristas are knowledgeable, quick and efficient while still super friendly. There is often a line, but drinks are made in no time flat. You might enjoy a little tête-á-tête while you’re waiting.

The Menu

The absolute “must-try” at Iron & Kin is an Affirmation Latte. The flavor notes are perfectly balanced and add unique dimensions to each drink. By the time you finish it, your mantras will be  “I can do my best”, “I’ve got what it takes.” and “I believe in my ability to succeed.” Delicious exotic pour-overs are on the menu as well. Their hot & iced chocolate or herbal & green tea selection is perfect for those non-coffee drinkers. A variety of milk and non-dairy options are available. If you tend to go for sweet, you’ll love the raw local honey and brown sugar used as an alternative to artificial sweeteners because it’s all about putting good things into your body at this curated coffee experience shop.

Feeling a bit peckish? Iron & Kin offers pastries and a short list of everyday food items like the Chorizo Burrito and Overnight Oats. An irresistible Brunch menu and Weekend Waffles—like the Ricotta Berry Waffle—are offered on Saturdays and Sundays.
