Looking for something entertaining to do near the Inland Empire this weekend? Claremont welcomes out-of-town visitors and Southern California locals to enjoy our arts, music and outdoor events. From Friday Nights Live to the Midsummer Shakespeare Festival, our calendar is chock full of rousing events and annual festivals.
There’s something fun to do for everyone. The weekly Claremont Farmers and Artisans Market every Sunday is the largest of its kind in the region. For arts and crafts lovers, there’s the monthly First Saturday Art Walk and the Village Venture Arts & Crafts Faire in October.
Families flock to events such as Things That Go Bump in the Night at California Botanic Garden in October and Inland Pacific Ballet’s The Nutcracker in December. And nature enthusiasts can celebrate and discover the beauty of various native plants at the Annual Wild Flower Show and Festival in April and other botanic garden events.

Claremont’s 4th of July Celebration

4th of July Celebration
The 4th of July Celebration will again occur over two days this year, with the Freedom 5000 1K/5K Run/Walk taking place on Saturday, July 1 and the parade and festival on Tuesday, July 4.
The theme for 2023 4th of July Celebration is “Happy and Free in 2023!” submitted by Vincent Vuong, a 4th-grade student at Condit Elementary School. The Independence Day Committee chose the winning theme from entries submitted by K-6th grade students living or attending school in Claremont. Mr. Vuong will receive fireworks tickets, a certificate, a special place in the parade and will lead the flag salute at the official flag-raising ceremony.
Saturday, July 1, 2023 – Freedom 5000 5K Run/Walk and 1K Kids Fun Run
The celebration will begin on Saturday, July 1, 2023, with the Claremont Village Freedom 5000 Run/Walk.
Tuesday, July 4, 2023 – Parade, Festival, Fireworks, & Concert
The festivities will continue Tuesday, July 4, 2023, with the pancake breakfast, parade, festival, fireworks show, and concert.
