Looking for something entertaining to do near the Inland Empire this weekend? Claremont welcomes out-of-town visitors and Southern California locals to enjoy our arts, music and outdoor events. From Friday Nights Live to the Midsummer Shakespeare Festival, our calendar is chock full of rousing events and annual festivals.
There’s something fun to do for everyone. The weekly Claremont Farmers and Artisans Market every Sunday is the largest of its kind in the region. For arts and crafts lovers, there’s the monthly First Saturday Art Walk and the Village Venture Arts & Crafts Faire in October.
Families flock to events such as Things That Go Bump in the Night at California Botanic Garden in October and Inland Pacific Ballet’s The Nutcracker in December. And nature enthusiasts can celebrate and discover the beauty of various native plants at the Annual Wild Flower Show and Festival in April and other botanic garden events.

First Sunday Family Friendly Bird Walks hosted by the Pomona Valley Audubon Society
Sunday, Sep 4 / 8 am – 10 am
These free family-friendly walks will lead you through the beautiful, winding trails of California Botanic Garden showing how you can spot and identify your local bird life.
Meet Pomona Valley Audubon Society hosts at the Garden entrance at 8:00 a.m. for free admission. This family-friendly bird walk is approximately 2 hours long and is perfect for beginners and experienced birders alike. No binoculars? No worries! Loaner binoculars are available (limited number so first come first served.) You will receive instructions on their use as well. Based on your comfort level (and possible guideline changes) please have a face mask available.
Please bring comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, plenty of water, and any bird guides or binoculars you may have!
Space is limited, so sign up early online or at the front kiosk.
