From Friday Nights Live to the Midsummer Shakespeare Festival, our calendar is chock full of rousing events and annual festivals.

There’s something fun to do for everyone. The weekly Claremont Farmers and Artisans Market every Sunday is the largest of its kind in the region. For arts and crafts lovers, there’s the monthly First Saturday Art Walk and the Village Venture Arts & Crafts Faire in October.

Families flock to events such as Things That Go Bump in the Night at California Botanic Garden in October and Inland Pacific Ballet’s The Nutcracker in December. And nature enthusiasts can celebrate and discover the beauty of various native plants at the Annual Wild Flower Show and Festival in April and other botanic garden events.

Laughs at the Lounge

April 8 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

On April 8th OJP will launch a new live comedy series, “Laughs at the Lounge” which will feature monthly stand up comedy shows. The first is a variety show featuring 4 diverse and talented comedians. Stay tuned for exciting announcements about shows to come.
THE COMEDIANS
Richard Weiss has toured the country performing in hundreds of comedy venues including the Laugh Factory, Fantasy Springs Casino, Galaxy Theater, Carolines (N.Y.), The Comedy Store , the Improv, Fox Theater (Redlands), The Copacabana (Palm Springs), Standup New York, The Indio Performing Arts Center, and The Egyptian Theater (Park City, Utah). When not in California, Richard brings his brand of humor across the country in his “Stand Up to Addiction” show. He has written for dozens of comedians, some going on to win national contests and others using his material who perform on television. Additional writing credits include the comedic play Sketch In The City, National Lampoon magazine, My Joke Book (Richard Weiss & friends), the Humor Times, Spaz comics & Funny Or Die.
Donna Maine is an LA-based clean adult comedian and comedy writer who performs across the country. Her comedic insights run the gamut; drawing on her life experiences with relationships, kids, being a former nurse, and beyond. Donna performs at all the major comedy clubs; the Improv, Comedy Store, Ice House, and wherever laughter is needed! Donna incorporates musical comedy, characters such as Phyllis Diller, is also a producer, and a Funniest Housewives Finalist.
Jeff Charlebois is an experienced comedian and writer, who performs all over the US. After being paralyzed in a car accident in 1979, Jeff learned
the art of comedy and overcame many obstacles that few would endure. Not only is comedy a driving force in his life, but so is his commitment towards promoting disability awareness and motivating others to overcome life’s obstacles. You might say “He’s got game”.
Gulden was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, before her parents sent her to America for higher education. She completed her BS and MS degrees at the University of Rhode Island and started her PhD at the University of Connecticut. According to her father, all that studying made her lose her mind and she decided to become a comedian. She is planning to write her thesis and complete her doctoral degree, but for now she’s happy to be “The only female comedian from The Middle East, still alive!” She has performed in venues across the United States including Comedy Store, L.A., Comedy Store, La Jolla, The Ice House, The Laugh Factory, L.A., The Improv, L.A. Universal Studios, LA Ventura Comedy Club, The Couch House, O.C. Casablanca Casino Nevada Galaxy Theater O.C.
